The Parable of Talents

The Hero’s Journey

At the end of that parable: 29 ‘For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away. 30 And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

It’s true that by our own strength, we are limited.

HOWEVER… thanks to grace, if you accept Jesus as your mentor, you have the opportunity to come back. The story does seem to imply the master returns at the END of their lives, but since we are still alive, failure to use our gifts wisely (thus far) is NOT the end of the story. If we are still alive in Christ, we can take a different route!

Let’s do as the good and faithful servants do.
